The Asian Development Bank (ADB) wanted to assist Mongolia's Ministry of Road, Transportation, Construction, and Urban Development and the Municipality of Ulaanbaatar to develop a roadmap for investment and institutional reforms in the water and sanitation sector.
Service Provided
DHInfrastructure advised on options for reforming water and sanitation services in Ulaanbaatar. We advised on a range of institutional, legal, and regulatory changes, including improvements to performance contracts between the Municipality of Ulaanbaatar and the water and sanitation providers and actions required to facilitate the eventual implementation of a lease contract in the sector. DHInfrastructure also organized a study tour of water sector regulators, service providers, trade associations, and experts in Washington, DC.
